Our Story
Elemental Astro began in 2025 with a simple frustration: the Chinese astrology people could find online was either a one-line daily horoscope keyed to their animal year, or a raw BaZi (Four Pillars) chart that only a practitioner could read. The depth was real, but it was locked away, and the part that mattered most, what to actually do with it, was missing.
We built Elemental Astro to close that gap. It reads your full birth chart through the Five Elements, then translates it into plain language for the things people actually ask about (love, career, and health) and connects it to the wellness side of the same tradition, because the Five Elements that drive Chinese astrology are also the foundation of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Our aim is grounded self-understanding, not prediction or superstition.
How We Build Your Reading
Every reading starts from a deterministic calculation. Your birth date, time, and place are converted into a Four Pillars chart with true solar time, not a lookup table keyed to your birth year. From there, the interpretation is written to be honest about what the tradition can and cannot say. We publish how it works, where it comes from, and the standards we hold our writing to, so you can judge it for yourself.

Ricky Li Founder
Elemental Astro was founded by Ricky Li, who has read Chinese astrology for about ten years and guided thousands of people in person. He designed the app so more people can get the reading he would give by hand, grounded in your real birth details.
Around him is a small independent team that brings together Chinese metaphysics, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and modern software. We share Eastern astrology guidance as @elementalastro_official on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. There are real people behind every guide, and we stand behind what we publish.
